01

Scope of This Payment Policy

This policy applies to payments made for products and services purchased directly from Pallet Town PTY LTD through our website, an authorised quotation, an invoice or an authorised sales representative.

It applies to liquidation pallets, customer-return pallets, wholesale lots, delivery charges, deposits, order balances, redelivery fees and other amounts properly payable to Pallet Town.

This policy forms part of our Terms and Conditions and should be read with our Terms of Service, Shipping Policy, Privacy Policy and Returns and Refunds Policy.

Where an individually negotiated invoice or written payment agreement contains different terms, that document applies to the relevant order to the extent that it is lawful and clearly accepted by both parties.

02

Currently Accepted Payment Methods

Pallet Town currently accepts the following payment methods:

Available Bank Transfer

Standard electronic transfer using the authorised BSB and account number displayed on your invoice.

Available Osko

Faster bank transfer through participating Australian financial institutions.

Currently Unavailable Credit Cards

Credit-card payment facilities are not currently active.

Unless Pallet Town expressly agrees otherwise in writing, we do not accept:

  • cash on delivery
  • personal or business cheques
  • money orders
  • cryptocurrency
  • gift cards issued by another business
  • unapproved third-party payment links
03

Credit Cards Are Currently Unavailable

Pallet Town does not currently accept payment by Visa, Mastercard, American Express or other credit or debit cards.

Customers must not send card numbers, expiry dates, card security codes, card photographs or other payment-card credentials by email, contact form, SMS or social media.

If credit-card payments become available in the future:

  • the website and this policy will be updated
  • available card brands will be clearly identified
  • any applicable surcharge will be disclosed before payment
  • card details will be handled through an approved gateway
  • customers will not be required to email full card details

Any future card surcharge will not exceed the amount permitted by Australian law and applicable payment-network rules.

04

Bank Transfer Payments

Customers may pay by electronic bank transfer using the details shown on an authorised Pallet Town invoice or written payment instruction.

Before confirming the transfer, the customer should check:

  • the account name shown in the payment instructions
  • the BSB
  • the account number
  • the payment amount
  • the required invoice or order reference
  • that the instructions came from an authorised source

Standard bank transfers may take longer to appear than Osko payments. Processing times depend on the sending bank, receiving bank, time of transfer, transaction value and any bank security review.

An online-banking receipt shows that a transfer was submitted. It does not necessarily prove that cleared funds were received in Pallet Town’s account.

05

Osko Payments

Customers whose banks support Osko may be able to make a faster payment using the authorised account details or PayID stated in the applicable payment instructions.

Osko payments are generally processed in near real time between participating Australian financial institutions, including outside ordinary banking hours.

Typical speed Near real time
Availability Participating banks
Operating period Usually 24/7
Order status Confirmed after receipt

An Osko payment may still be delayed, held or rejected because of the customer’s daily transfer limit, first-time-payee hold, incorrect information, bank maintenance, transaction monitoring or security checks.

Pallet Town does not control the customer’s bank limits or bank security procedures.

06

Authorised Payment Instructions

Customers must use only the bank details stated on:

  • an authorised Pallet Town invoice
  • the secure checkout or account area, where available
  • a written instruction sent by an authorised representative
  • a payment document that can be independently verified
Never rely solely on an unexpected email change.

Payment-redirection scams may use altered invoices or compromised email accounts. Verify unexpected changes through independently sourced Pallet Town contact details before transferring funds.

Pallet Town will never ask customers to disclose:

  • an online-banking password
  • a banking-app passcode
  • a one-time security code
  • a full card-security code
  • remote access to a customer’s device
07

Payment References

Customers must include the invoice number, order number or other reference specified in their payment instructions.

The reference helps us:

  • identify the paying customer
  • match the payment to the correct order
  • confirm the amount received
  • reduce dispatch delays
  • maintain accurate accounting records

If a required reference was omitted or entered incorrectly, contact us and provide:

  • the customer name
  • the invoice or order number
  • the amount transferred
  • the date and approximate time of payment
  • the payment receipt or transaction identifier
08

Payment Due Dates

Payment is due by the date stated at checkout, on the quotation, invoice or written payment agreement.

Unless another arrangement is expressly stated, an order is not scheduled for dispatch until the required amount has been received in cleared funds.

If payment is not received by the due date, Pallet Town may:

  • send a payment reminder
  • place the order on hold
  • release unreserved stock
  • cancel an unaccepted order
  • issue an updated quotation if prices or freight change

An invoice due date does not remove any statutory cooling-off, cancellation or consumer right that applies to the transaction.

09

Payment Confirmation

A payment is treated as received when it appears in the authorised Pallet Town account in cleared and usable funds.

After payment is confirmed, we may:

  1. update the order status
  2. issue a receipt or paid invoice
  3. allocate the stock
  4. begin fulfilment or dispatch preparation
  5. provide delivery or collection information

Customers should retain the bank receipt until Pallet Town confirms that the payment has been matched to the order.

Where a payment is received without enough information to identify the order, fulfilment may be delayed until the payment is matched.

10

Bank Delays, Limits and Security Holds

Banks may delay, limit, hold or review a payment for reasons including:

New Payee Hold A bank may temporarily hold a first payment to a new account.
Daily Transfer Limit The customer’s payment amount may exceed an account limit.
Fraud Monitoring A bank may review an unusual or high-value transaction.
Incorrect Details Incorrect payment information may cause rejection or delay.
Bank Maintenance Scheduled or unexpected system work may affect processing.
Compliance Review A financial institution may request additional information.

A bank delay does not constitute receipt by Pallet Town. The customer should contact their bank if the transfer remains pending or is marked for review.

11

Failed, Rejected or Reversed Payments

A payment may fail, be rejected or be reversed because of insufficient funds, incorrect account information, bank limits, fraud concerns, account restrictions or another banking issue.

If a payment fails:

  1. check the payment information against the invoice
  2. review any notification from your bank
  3. contact your bank where necessary
  4. contact Pallet Town before attempting repeated transfers
  5. retain evidence of any debit or reversal

Pallet Town may pause fulfilment until the full required amount has been received.

Any fee charged by the customer’s bank for a failed or rejected transfer is the customer’s responsibility unless the failure was caused by incorrect information supplied by Pallet Town.

12

Deposits and Partial Payments

Deposits, staged payments or split-payment arrangements are accepted only where stated on the invoice or agreed in writing before payment.

A payment schedule should identify:

  • the total order value
  • the deposit or initial payment
  • the remaining balance
  • each payment due date
  • when the order will be dispatched
  • any cancellation conditions

A customer must not assume that sending a partial payment secures stock unless Pallet Town confirms the arrangement.

Any deposit or partial payment will be handled in accordance with the agreed terms, Australian Consumer Law and our Returns and Refunds Policy.

13

Overpayments

Contact us promptly if you accidentally pay more than the amount shown on the invoice.

After verifying the overpayment, Pallet Town may:

  • refund the excess amount
  • apply it to an outstanding balance with your agreement
  • apply it to another order with your written approval

We may request reasonable evidence and confirmation of the correct refund account before returning an overpayment.

Pallet Town will not send an overpayment refund to an unrelated third party merely because the request is made by email.

14

Duplicate Payments

If the same invoice is paid more than once, contact us with both transaction records.

Once the duplicate payment has been verified, the additional amount will be refunded or applied in another manner agreed with the customer.

A duplicate-payment refund will normally be returned to the original payer or verified originating account where reasonably practicable.

Bank processing times may affect when the returned amount appears in the customer’s account.

15

Payments Sent to Incorrect Details

Customers must carefully review bank details before authorising a payment.

If a payment was sent to incorrect details:

  1. contact your bank immediately
  2. request a transfer recall or recovery investigation
  3. report suspected fraud to the bank
  4. notify Pallet Town using verified contact details
  5. retain all communications and transaction records

Pallet Town cannot confirm an order as paid where funds were sent to an account that is not controlled by Pallet Town.

Responsibility for an incorrect transfer will depend on the circumstances, including whether the customer used authorised details and whether either party contributed to the error or fraud.

16

Fraud Prevention and Payment Verification

Pallet Town may conduct reasonable payment and identity checks to protect customers and the business.

We may request:

  • confirmation of the payer’s name
  • a bank transfer receipt
  • an invoice or transaction reference
  • confirmation of business authority
  • verification of an unusual payment instruction
  • additional information for a high-value transaction

We may place an order on hold while investigating a reasonably suspected unauthorised, fraudulent or mistaken payment.

Verification requests will be proportionate to the transaction. Customers should redact unrelated account balances or transaction details before supplying a bank receipt where possible.

17

Invoices, Receipts and Proof of Payment

Pallet Town will provide an invoice, receipt, payment confirmation or other transaction record as appropriate.

A payment document may include:

  • Pallet Town PTY LTD
  • ABN 91 967 877 674
  • the customer’s details
  • the order or invoice number
  • a description of the products or services
  • the total amount payable
  • payment instructions and due date

Customers should contact us promptly if an invoice contains an incorrect name, address, order quantity, price or payment amount.

Transaction documents will clearly identify the products or services supplied, the amount paid or payable, and the relevant order or invoice reference.

18

Refund Payments

Approved refunds are processed in accordance with our Returns and Refunds Policy and Australian Consumer Law.

Our standard maximum refund processing period is 14 business days after the refund has been approved and any required return conditions have been satisfied.

A refund will normally be returned to:

  • the original payer
  • the verified originating bank account
  • another verified account agreed in writing where necessary

We may request proof of account ownership before sending a refund to different bank details.

Bank processing times may affect when the refund appears after Pallet Town issues it.

19

Payment Fees and Surcharges

Pallet Town does not currently impose a credit-card surcharge because credit-card payments are unavailable.

Pallet Town does not ordinarily charge a separate processing fee for standard Bank Transfer or Osko payments.

Customers remain responsible for fees charged by their own bank, including:

  • account transaction fees
  • transfer fees
  • payment-recall fees
  • international conversion or correspondent-bank fees

If another paid payment method is introduced, any fee or surcharge imposed by Pallet Town will be clearly disclosed before payment and will comply with applicable Australian law.

20

Currency and International Transfers

All prices and payments are in Australian dollars unless expressly stated otherwise.

A customer making an international bank transfer is responsible for ensuring that Pallet Town receives the full Australian-dollar amount shown on the invoice.

International transfers may incur:

  • foreign-exchange conversion charges
  • sending-bank fees
  • correspondent-bank fees
  • receiving-bank fees
  • longer settlement periods

Any shortfall caused by exchange rates or bank fees remains payable unless Pallet Town agrees otherwise in writing.

21

Payment and Order Acceptance

Sending payment does not by itself create an accepted sales contract where stock, delivery or transaction verification is still pending.

An order is accepted when Pallet Town:

  1. confirms product availability
  2. confirms delivery arrangements where applicable
  3. receives the required payment
  4. issues an order confirmation or other acceptance

If Pallet Town cannot accept a paid order, we will offer an appropriate alternative or refund the amount paid.

Payment does not remove a customer’s rights concerning unavailable, faulty, unsafe or misdescribed goods.

22

Payment Questions and Disputes

Contact Pallet Town promptly if you believe:

  • a payment was not correctly allocated
  • an invoice amount is incorrect
  • a transfer was duplicated
  • an overpayment occurred
  • a refund has not arrived
  • payment instructions may have been compromised

Include your name, order number, invoice number, payment date, payment amount and relevant transaction evidence.

Both parties should attempt to resolve the issue in good faith. Nothing in this policy prevents a customer from contacting their bank, a regulator, consumer agency, tribunal or court where appropriate.

23

Changes to This Payment Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our payment methods, banking arrangements, security procedures, website systems or legal obligations.

Changes may include:

  • restoring credit-card payments
  • introducing an approved payment gateway
  • adding or withdrawing a payment method
  • changing payment-verification procedures
  • responding to changes in Australian payment law

Updated policies will be published with a revised effective date. A change will not retrospectively alter an accepted order unless agreed or required by law.
