Sales Tax and Pricing Policy

This policy explains how Pallet Town PTY LTD displays product prices, delivery charges and other order costs. It also explains the business’s current tax status and the documents provided for customer purchases.

Currency: Australian Dollars Pricing: Clear Before Payment Documents: Standard Invoices and Receipts
01

Clear Prices

Product prices are displayed in Australian dollars and stated clearly before purchase.

02

No Separate Sales Tax

No separate sales-tax charge is added under the business’s current tax status.

03

Standard Documents

Customers receive an invoice, receipt or payment confirmation appropriate to the transaction.

Current pricing position

Pallet Town does not add a separate sales-tax charge to customer orders. Customers should rely on the final product page, quotation, checkout total or invoice for the complete amount payable.

01

Scope of This Policy

This policy applies to prices and charges for products and services purchased directly from Pallet Town PTY LTD through the website, an authorised quotation, an invoice or an authorised sales representative.

It applies to liquidation pallets, customer-return pallets, overstock merchandise, wholesale lots, delivery, freight, handling, redelivery and other agreed order-related charges.

This policy should be read with our Terms and Conditions, Payment Policy, Shipping Policy, Privacy Policy and Returns and Refunds Policy.

03

Current Tax Status

Pallet Town is not currently registered to collect goods and services tax. Accordingly, no such amount is added to product, delivery or service charges.

Prices shown on the website, quotations and invoices are the amounts charged by Pallet Town for the relevant products and services, subject to any separately disclosed delivery, freight, handling or other agreed charge.

Customers will not be charged an additional sales-tax amount after an order has been accepted unless a lawful change is clearly disclosed and agreed before payment.

04

Product Prices

Product prices are displayed in Australian dollars unless another currency is expressly stated.

A displayed product price ordinarily covers the product or lot described in the relevant listing. Delivery, freight, unloading, installation or another service is included only where the listing, quotation or checkout clearly says that it is included.

Customers should review the product title, description, quantity, condition, manifest information and final price before ordering.

05

Additional and Optional Charges

Any additional charge imposed by Pallet Town will be disclosed before payment where it can reasonably be calculated at that time.

  • delivery or freight
  • remote-area or restricted-access delivery
  • multiple-pallet or oversized freight
  • specialised unloading equipment
  • redelivery, waiting or storage caused by failed access
  • an optional service expressly selected by the customer

Pallet Town will not knowingly present an unavoidable charge as optional or conceal it until after the customer has committed to the purchase.

06

Shipping and Delivery Charges

Standard flat-rate shipping is A$399 for one eligible standard pallet delivered to a qualifying Australian mainland metro or selected regional address.

The A$399 amount is the complete standard delivery charge for an eligible order. It does not apply to remote areas, offshore islands, Tasmania, multiple pallets, oversized freight, dangerous goods or deliveries requiring specialised equipment.

Orders outside the standard-delivery criteria require a separate quotation before payment or dispatch.

07

Checkout and Final Order Total

The checkout page or authorised invoice will show the amount payable for the order based on the information available at that time.

Customers should confirm the product price, quantity, delivery address, delivery charge and total before making payment.

Where a delivery charge cannot be calculated automatically, Pallet Town may issue a separate quotation or contact the customer before accepting the order.

08

Quotations and Price Validity

A quotation will identify the products or services, quantity, price, delivery charge and any other agreed amount.

Quotations may be subject to an expiry date, stock availability, delivery-access confirmation and payment terms stated in the quotation.

A quotation does not reserve stock unless Pallet Town confirms the reservation in writing.

09

Invoices, Receipts and Payment Records

Pallet Town provides a standard invoice, receipt, payment confirmation or other transaction record as appropriate.

  • Pallet Town PTY LTD
  • ABN 91 967 877 674
  • the customer’s name or business details
  • the order or invoice number
  • a description of the products or services
  • the quantity and price
  • delivery or other separately disclosed charges
  • the total amount paid or payable
  • payment instructions or confirmation

Customers should contact Pallet Town promptly if a document contains an incorrect name, address, quantity, price, payment amount or delivery charge.

10

Business and Resale Customers

Business customers are responsible for maintaining their own accounting, purchasing and resale records.

Pallet Town does not provide individual tax, accounting or resale advice. Customers should obtain independent professional advice about how a purchase should be recorded or treated in their own business.

A customer’s own tax status does not change the amount charged by Pallet Town for an accepted order.

11

Pricing and Calculation Errors

We take reasonable steps to keep prices and charges accurate. However, a typographical, technical, supplier, calculation or system error may occasionally occur.

  1. proceed at the corrected price
  2. select another available product
  3. cancel the unaccepted order
  4. receive a refund of any amount already paid

Pallet Town will not change the price of an accepted order merely because the website price changes later.

12

Discounts and Promotional Prices

A discount, promotion or special price is subject to the terms displayed with the offer, including any expiry date, quantity limit, product restriction or eligibility condition.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, discounts cannot be combined and do not apply retrospectively.

A comparison or estimated retail value does not guarantee a customer’s resale price, margin or profit.

13

Refunds, Credits and Price Adjustments

An approved refund will reflect the amount properly refundable under the Returns and Refunds Policy, Australian Consumer Law and the circumstances of the order.

Approved refunds are processed as soon as reasonably practicable and within no more than 14 business days after approval and satisfaction of any required return conditions.

14

Future Changes to Tax Status

Pallet Town will review its registration obligations as required by Australian law.

If the business’s tax status changes, this policy, website pricing, invoices and checkout information will be updated before the new treatment is applied to future transactions.

A future status change will not retrospectively alter the amount charged for an order already accepted, except where required by law or agreed with the customer.

15

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
